Long Family Eye Care Quarterly Newsletter Fall (October 2004) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dear Jarrod, As I write this, Fall is in the air and, while I'm not quite ready for it yet, I embrace the change of seasons. Actually, I think change is an appropriate topic for this edition of our newsletter. For starters, it has been just over a year now since we have moved and I hope, by now, everyone is familiar with our new office location at 660 S. College Avenue. If you haven't seen us at the new office then you are probably overdue for a routine eye health evaluation. Also, our office hours have changed, we have a couple of staff members who have rejoined our team of professionals, and the Vision Aid Center is our "store" that is open for those with low vision. For those of you who know her, it should come as no surprise that she has been successful. I'm sure her commitment to top- notch service in her tanning salon is the same as it is with our patients here. She's here at the office all day Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and still manages to own and operate Tropical Tan behind Monroe County Bank in Highland Village. Give her a visit, but please wear those silly little goggle things on your eyes! On the right is Brandy, and she and her husband David were fortunate enough to have the most beautiful baby girl, Lacy. WE were fortunate enough to have her come back to see and serve patients in our office! For those of you who have worked with Brandy in the office, you already know how knowledgeable and professional she is. Brandy is also here on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Angie and I would like to personally thank Sabrina and Brandy for their dedication to helping our office provide exemplary service. New Office Hours ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ <--Just as our family has continued to change, our hours have changed too. Actually, this is the first time our hours have changed since we opened 7 years ago. We have always closed for an extended lunch on Wednesdays. But now, we are also closed over lunch on Mondays for a weekly office meeting. Sorry for any inconveniences. Monday 9-12, 1-5 // Tuesday 9-1 // Wednesday 9-12, 2-7 // Thursday closed // Friday 9-5 // Saturday by appointment from 9-1 Yes, we still have evening and weekend appointments available! Vision Aid Center ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Now, located within Long Family Eye Care, the Vision Aid Center is open for shopping! We carry a wide variety of products to help individuals with poor eyesight. From magnifiers to large print and talking products, you have access to nearly every product imaginable to help someone with poor sight. If you don't find what you're looking for, just ask! We'll track down a product that will help. Remember that postcard I mentioned? It's worth $25 toward that magnifier you wanted to get mom or dad for Christmas. If you aren't sure what strength magnifier or telescope your loved one will need this Christmas, maybe they should have a comprehensive low vision evaluation.
