The BIG Move! Happy New Year! (January 2003) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ OK, I know I'm running late with this quarter's newsletter, but there is a reason. We're just found out we're moving and, although we've been very happy here in Landmark, it's for all of the right reasons! Also, we purchased a great new piece of equipment called the Smart Mirror. Please read on as this newsletter, in my mind at least, is the most exciting one yet! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ in this issue ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ * The Big Move! * The Smart Mirror * New Low Vision Device The Big Move! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ No, this picture has nothing to do with our move, but it shows Madelyn Jo, the latest addition to the Long Family, and I thought it might catch your eye. More to the point, Landmark has been great for our first five years serving patients, but we're out of room and there is no more space available. Since August 2002 we have been looking for more space and it's finally going to happen. The new address will be 660 S. College Avenue. We hope to be in the new building in the middle of April, but I will keep you updated with any changes or a more specific date. The new location will be just south of Dr. Hoffman's office and the Kroger at Seminary Square in the building formerly occupied by SIRA (radiologists). Find out more about Long Family Eye Care... >> http://www.longfamilyeyecare.com The Smart Mirror ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ With the Smart Mirror you can try four different frames on and compare them side-by-side instantly. No more squinting in the mirror from a foot away guessing if the frame looks good on you. Once you choose your frame the Smart Mirror can then be used to demonstrate your lens thickness, weight, and tint options. All in very little time at all! Also, have you ever wondered what you would look like in colored contact lenses? The Smart Mirror can do it! It has every brand and tint in it's memory to instantly see how they look on you. It can do even more to make your visit easier and more enjoyable. So, check it out at your next visit or at our open house this Spring. more services... >> http://www.longfamilyeyecare.com/services.html New Low Vision Device ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Merlin is the newest video magnifier available.
